Ginger Tea

Ginger is famous for its medicinal properties. A warming spice, it stimulates digestion and boosts circulation, respiration and nervous system function. By increasing circulation, it helps effect a systemic cleansing through the skin, bowels and kidneys.

Ginger treats colds (see Cold Quell Tea) and fevers and is an effective remedy for motion sickness, nausea from chemotherapy and sometimes morning sickness. It is anti-inflammatory and destroys many intestinal parasites. It normalizes blood pressure and helps support the liver. It eases congestion in the throat and lungs, relieving symptoms of cold and flu and helps alleviate menstrual discomfort.

½ teaspoon powdered ginger (or 1 teaspoon fresh squeezed ginger juice)
1 teaspoon honey

Stir ginger and honey into 1 cup of hot water. Drink.

  1. how do you squeeze ginger to have juice?
    I usually sliced ginger very thinly and simmer it for a few min. on the stove to make the tea. Just squeezing ginger for juice would be faster

    • It’s easy. Finely grate a small amount, place it in your palm and squeeze. It’s astounding how much juice you’ll extract.
